Step-by-Step Guide to Delete a Google Workspace Account
Step 1: Sign in to the Admin Console
- Go to the Google Admin Console at admin.google.com.
- Log in with an administrator account (only super administrators can delete Google Workspace accounts).
Step 2: Back Up Important Data
- Before deletion, back up all essential data, including emails, files on Google Drive, calendars, and contacts.
- Use Google Takeout or other backup tools to download data from your Google Workspace account.
Step 3: Cancel Paid Subscription
- In the Admin Console, go to Billing > Subscriptions.
- Find your Google Workspace subscription and select Cancel Subscription.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the cancellation. Google may provide an option to retain your data for a short period after cancellation.
Step 4: Delete All User Accounts
- In the Admin Console, go to Users.
